| The Joshua Kahan Fund Mission
The Joshua Kahan Fund is fighting to cure pediatric leukemia and improve the quality of life for pediatric cancer patients and their families. It raises funds to advance carefully selected, scientific research projects, while perpetuating Josh's name and memory through all of its actions.
Since our inception, we have been on a journey towards helping to find a cure for pediatric leukemia. From our first gift to Dr. Carolyn Felix at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1999, we have continued to raise monies that are earmarked to funding research that will ultimately lead to the eradication of this disease. All of our initiatives are targeted specifically at pediatric leukemia.
In 2001, we committed $250,000 to fund a multi-year project that focuses on determining what happens when genes become incorrectly joined together.
